This elegant hotel lies beside the River Isar in the Haidhausen artists' district of Munich close to the city centre. The Deutsche Museum and Gasteig cultural centre are both to be found just a stone's throw away, and the world-famous Viktualienmarkt also lies just a few paces from the hotel. There is an S-Bahn station (Rosenheiner Platz) located directly in front of the hotel.

 

Facilities

 

The hotel features 480 accommodation units. A lift provides easy access to the upper floors. Amenities include a safe. Wireless internet access (for a fee) allows guests to surf on the internet and stay connected. The hotel offers a range of amenities for a comfortable stay, including gastronomic options such as a restaurant, a café and a bar. Shopping facilities are available. A newspaper stand is also among the amenities at the hotel. Parking facilities available to guests include a garage and a car park. Additional services include a babysitting service, room service and a laundry. In addition, a conference room and a business centre are also available.

 

Rooms

 

The hotel offers smoking rooms. All rooms feature air conditioning and a bathroom. Most accommodation units feature a balcony or terrace. A safe, a minibar and a desk also feature. A fridge and tea and coffee making equipment contribute to a comfortable stay. An ironing set is also available to guests. Each accommodation unit offers internet access, a telephone, a TV, a radio and wireless internet access. Each of the bathrooms features a shower, a bathtub and a hairdryer.

 

Sports/Entertainment

 

Sport and leisure options are offered by the hotel and third-party operators. Leisure options at the hotel include a gym, or for a fee, a beauty salon.

 

Meals

 

The hotel offers the following bookable meals and board options: breakfast, lunch and dinner.

 

Payment

 

The following credit cards are accepted at the hotel: American Express, VISA, Diners Club, JCB and MasterCard.

 

Planned works are commencing in June 2017 and will impact different parts of the building at different timings - detail planning includes 2 stages.

 

Phase 1 covers June 12, 2017- April 2018. In Phase 1 bedrooms in the front part of the building will be separated from the back areas and all 5 floors will be renovated at the same time. 283 of 483 rooms will receive their new look in this period of time. On all floors the blocked area will not be visible to guests staying on floors in the back part of the building, the noise expectations for the back part are minimal.

 

Working Hours will be from 08:00 hrs to 18:00 hrs On business days, including Saturdays, and Noisy works shall be limited to the times from 10:00 hrs 17:00 hrs.

 

Until Mid-October 2017, there will be minimal impact on public areas, that only the right hand side of the lobby will be blocked and the reception desk is moving to the left hand side of the lobby. While the Lobby Coffee Shop, Bar, Restaurant all remain in their original areas and in service.

 

Guests arriving to the hotel will however experience the changes such as the arrival area, right hand side will be blocked; and Changed elevator path to bring all guests directly to the guest rooms on the back side of the building.

 

As of Mid-October 2017 the reception area returns to the right hand side of the lobby and the left hand side, including the coffee shop, bar and restaurant will be blocked.

 

Services of these outlets will move during that time then on the same lobby level floor into the Meeting area foyer and some Meeting rooms.

 

The Executive Lounge on the 5th floor will not be available for the entire phase 1 of construction (June 2017 – April 2018) and who usually have Executive Lounge access will receive vouchers for the bar & restaurant.

 

In the Phase 2, May 2018- March 2019, construction moves to the remaining bedrooms in the back part of the building and all 5 floors will be worked on at the same time. 200 of the 483 rooms will receive their new look in this period of time. The front part of the building including the reception area, bar, restaurant will then be completed already and now the meeting area will receive its facelift.

 

Guests arriving to the hotel will mostly experience the new Hilton Munich City already, only the bedroom and meeting room remain restricted.
